Jane Gumshoe

This was a Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney fan-character I designed for the character design contest on Court Records ([link]). It didn't make it into the finals, probably because I wasn't very original, although I did have fun drawing it. It also gave me practice in doing close-up faces, and while I tried to imitate the Phoenix Wright art style, it came out looking like a bizarre cross between PW and Disney. Weird, but I like it.

Also in case you can't tell or aren't familiar with the franchise, she's Detective Dick Gumshoe's younger sister, who joins Phoenix on one of his many adventures when her brother is wrongly accused of murder. Note the "clever" name pun.



Also, I like this character design so I'm probably going to keep it, change the name, and make it my own.
